County schools open this Thursday, Aug. 6, and CASA needs school supplies for neglected and abandoned children in foster care in Hancock County. These kids already have so much going against them. PLEASE HELP see to it that they get to start the new school year like all the others — with a backpack full of essential school supplies.
It’s so easy. You can pick them up inexpensively at Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, or Dollar General then drop them off right here at Hancock Bank where CASA will pick them up on Wednesday. They need book bags, scissors, erasers, loose leaf paper, pens, notebooks, 3-ring binders, glue sticks, plastic folders, pencil pouches, and colored pencils.
No kid should have to start school feeling discouraged and disadvantaged. Please help prevent that.
