Library’s Holiday Tree Gala is December 6

A breathtaking display of exquisitely decorated trees will delight the public at the Hancock County Library System’s 21st annual Holiday Tree Gala, set for Sunday, December 6 from 1-4 p.m. at the Bay St. Louis-Hancock County Library. All are cordially invited to bring the children and see the enchanting display of trees and tell Santa their Christmas wishes.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Hancock County Children’s Choir at 1:30 p.m., and the South HancockLibarryLogoHancock Elementary Children’s Choir at 2:30 p.m. Santa will greet children, and punch and cookies will be served.

“More than 50 businesses, organizations and schools are displaying trees this year,” said Courtney Thomas, HCLS Executive Director. “This event has been hailed as the premiere kick off for the holiday season in Hancock County, and we are proud to host it.”

In conjunction with the gala event, the Bay-Waveland Garden Club will host a small standard flower show, Christmas Traditions, in the Seal Meeting Room. More information on the flower show is available by calling Nanette Murphree at 324-3570.

Hanukkah, the Jewish celebration that begins at sundown on December 6, will also be represented in the display case at the Bay St. Louis-Hancock County Library. The display will be available to the public through the end of December.
