Losses Trigger Forensic Audit

Mike-Schaefer

Diamondhead Country Club and Property Owner Treasurer, Mike Schaefer

Losses at the Diamondhead Country Club exceeding normal operating expectations have triggered a forensic audit called by the Diamondhead Country Club and Property Owners Association’s Treasurer, Mike Schaefer.   Losses for the last seven months are as follows:

Jan 2015     ($18,794)
Feb 2015     ($39,234)
Mar 2015    ($45,917)
Apr 2015    ($53,722)
May 2015   ($48,338)
Jun 2015     ($46,556)
Jul 2015       ($57,005)

According to Schaefer the losses are the largest in the last 15 years of operation and will top over six hundred thousand dollars  ($600,000) through the end of 2015.

In a unique arrangement on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the losses are subsidized by dues that are required of all members of the Diamondhead Country Club and Property Owners Association. Failure to pay dues has resulted in court action and liens being placed on homes in the subdivision of Diamondhead.

  1. With the golf course losses increasing by the month, it is about time to have an audit to see if there are any inappropriate transactions that have taken place.
The 4 Board members trying to block this audit seem very worried about the results which leads the Diamondhead residents very suspicious to the 4 Board members actions. We the people of this community have the right to know why the losses are increasing each month at an alarming rate.
